There are many ways of making a green smoothie. This is my favorite:
Start with several different kinds of greens. In addition to romaine, spinach etc, you can also carrot tops, celery tops etc. The wider the variety of greens, the wider variety of vitamins and minerals! I fill up my vitamix up the one quart level with loose leaf per drink. Then I add a good handful of frozen mango chunks, about 1/2 handful of pineapple chunks and some 1/2 handful of rasberries. Then I add about one cup of water and blend.
Other variations include adding a banana, grinding some flax seed first before the greens, fresh papaya, strawberries, blueberries and just about anything else yummy and raw. I’m hooked!!
