They’re on the newer side as far as being a common item in the health food marketplace–but they’re an amazing superfood, and MAN are they fun! You put them in water and they almost instantly begin to emit a gel. Then they’re like tapioca. And all you have to do is add something like almond milk or hemp milk and youve got the beginning of a super porridge. Then I like to dress it up such lovely spices as cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg as well as some flax oil for extra omegas and calories. You can toss in some chopped raw nuts or seeds, and maybe a diced up apple and it’s totally delish–a primo meal with very little preparation involved.
