Astrological Happenings May 2009
May starts off quietly, as the Sun and New Moon sit in steady Taurus - with slow, but sure movement. Energy is focused on getting our lives, our relationships, and our finances all in order. Each step that we choose now, shall be well-planned and precise. Venus squares Pluto 05/02, and there is trouble in paradise - as we struggle with old patterns and unresolved issues. Basically, we want - what we simply can not have. Sun trines Saturn 05/05 and we accomplish what we set out to do. Our hard work and determination pays off, and we gain respect. Mercury retrograde 05/07, and for the next few weeks, communications fall off track, forcing us to fumble with our words and thoughts. Computers and faxes go bonkers, so be sure to back up your work. Contracts and agreements should be put on hold during this time to avoid mishaps. Misunderstandings are bound to happen, and our relationships could feel mismatched or plain old confusing. Full Moon in Scorpio 05/09, and our emotions become raw and vulnerable. We are aware of the pressure that we’ve been investing to attain goals. We’re ready to break down some concrete barriers, and let those who are close to us, experience what’s really going on inside our heart and in our mind. Sexual games are likely. Intimacy comes with a price, and someone will be expected to sacrifice their soul for this information. Power trips come forward. The intensity of the night, brings a whole new light to a situation. Dismiss minor quirks, but pay attention to the bigger issue.
Mercury enters Taurus 5/13, and thoughts return to a strategic plan that we had once tried before, in order to reach desires. Sun squares Jupiter 06/16, and egos become harshly bruised. Someone tries to shatter our confidence. Watch out for angry words! Since December 2008, Saturn has been retrograde, placing frustrating obstacles in our path. He turns direct on 05/16. Blocks are diminished, and hurdles are no longer in our way. What we have struggled to build in our lives, is now ready to come our way - thanks to our persistence and willpower to succeed. We are capable of achieving the self-respect that we’ve been searching for. Note: Lack of effort and ignorance does not go unrewarded during this time. Sun squares Neptune 05/17, and our self-esteem and trust in our decisions could get side-swiped by confusion and doubt. We may feel pressured, and lash out prematurely. be sure to ask questions calmly, to get the facts straight. Sun enters Gemini 05/20, and life becomes more carefree, and our attitude lightens for the next four weeks. It’s high time for social adventures and for connecting with friends. Relationships bloom. Mercury sextiles Uranus 05/21, and we become overwhelmed with ideas and solutions. Brainstorming thoughts lead to success, especially great timing for advertising promotions, creative problem-solving, and bookkeeping. New Moon in Gemini 05/24, boosts our intentions to bond with others. Potential magic is unfolding, so concentrate on who we want to attract, why we want them in our lives, and what we hope to gain by their presence. By organizing our needs, we are able to prioritize our goals, while helping the Universe to understand what we are looking for!
On 05/26-05/27, Mars sextiles Jupiter and Neptune, and our pursuit for happiness and spiritual well-being is ours. Jupiter conjuncts Neptune, and some of us may experience an awakening or one of the ‘ah-ha’ moments. This energy could be life changing, and change our whole perspective of life. Pay attention to unusual signs, strangers who are drawn to us, and spend some time along with thoughts. Neptune goes retrograde 05/29, and sensitivities become hidden and withdrawn. It is important to get in touch with our intuitive nature and to trust our inner vision. When we’re ready to face reality, clarity will be available. Mercury turns direct 05/30, and our social dialogue begins to move in a better motion on 05/30. Last, we have Mars entering Taurus 05/31, and we begin to use our energy more wisely, instead of scattering ourselves into several directions and projects. We organize our priorities and ‘zero-in’ on specific desires that meet our needs. You can accomplish anything you want to - once you decide your goal! Powerful energy and triumph is waiting!
Enjoy your month, and remember to be true to yourself!

April 2009 Horoscope
APRIL reigns in puddles of opportunities, from outdoor activities, romantic adventures, and financial endeavors! It’s important to first mention that whatever may come our way, do not criticize it. Be completely open-minded and welcoming, as it is comes our way for a reason. Doors will be opening, proving to us that other options are available, and then they could close just as quickly. Whether these doors of chance re-open or not, will be totally up to our own elbow grease. We will have a cluster of planets residing in feisty Aries this month, and that is PLENTY of fuel to take us wherever we want to go with our goals - so start taking the steps that we need. We already did enough analyzing and thinking, and it is time to put our plans into action!
Last month, the Sun, and the New Moon entered energetic Aries, and this vibrant energy is still telling us to ‘do what we need to do’ to make our dreams happen! We’re confident, and we are ready to take on the competition. Pluto retrogrades on 4/4, and there’s a good chance that we will begin to second-guess ourselves and some of the choices that we have made over the past few months (and for some, it could be choices over the past years). Old emotional scars are re-opening, and individuals from our past could re-appear, giving us a second chance to either make things finally right, or to simply find closure. Mercury enters Taurus 04/09 and this helps to ground some overactive thoughts that we have been experiencing. We’re starting to feel as if we can make rational decisions in both love and in work now. While Venus is still in retrograde, it is best advised to hold off on any decision-making until she turns direct later this month. Personal development and our career will be more prominent this month. A few days around the Full Moon in Libra 04/09, we will finally get some answers that we have been searching for. Communications with others (especially those that we have lost touch with) will be more accessible and revealing at this time. Old scores are settled.
Venus enters Pisces 04/11 and some of us will want - just what we want - no matter what the cost is. Intentions could be confusing and it’s very possible that we could find ourselves available to trickery and manipulation if we simply rely on trust alone. Important agreements in business should include legal negotiations that spell everything out in detail. Promises that are made, come up empty - so smart choices with a plan of action is certainly encouraged right now. Venus and Saturn are both retrograde, and this energy will make it feel as if our efforts are taking us nowhere. Relationships can come to a screeching halt, and financial endeavors can appear hopeless. This slow pass of time will be testing our patience, as everything is reacting slower than normal. Make good use of this timing, as the Universe is simply giving us more time to examine our goals. Stay focused and work through the small stuff. This blend of hard work and determination will be building something more solid, which is a stronger spirit and a gift of self-respect. Green lights ahead as Venus finally turns direct on 04/17. It’s business and relationships as usual. We’ll also be finding ourselves as the center of attraction, meaning that we are attracting what we need. The ball on the roulette wheel finally lands, and we can finally exhale. Everything is falling into place. The Sun enters earthy Taurus on 4/19, and our efforts are generously rewarded for the next few weeks, so again, make wise choices! It’s a good time to go over business papers, work out differences with loved ones, and to work with our allies. Mars enters sassy Aries on 4/22, and our courage aids us in requesting that promotion, starting a new career, or wining the heart of another. Happiness is only footsteps away!

A Natural Remedy for Gingivitis, Toothaches, and Mouth Sores
Everyone has a variety of bacteria in their mouth. Some have more than others. This bacterium helps you by beginning the digestive process.
Excess bacteria in your mouth have now been found to cause more than tooth decay, gingivitis or gum disease. So, you need to know, even though you might not have gingivitis, how to control these plaque-building bacteria in your mouth.
Bacteria that create gingivitis live in your plaque and cause your gums to inflame, bleed, and separate from your teeth. You can also have bad breath when you have gingivitis. In more severe cases, your gums become sore, teeth hurt, gums recede, and teeth loosen.
To stop the inflammation and gum separation use this natural remedy to kill some of these bacteria and strengthen your gums in your mouth.
Here are the herbs and the formula you will need to make a remedy for a mild case of gingivitis:
2 parts white oak bark herb — powder
1 part myrrh gum herb — power or granules
3/4 part Peppermint leaves converted to powder
½ part anise herb — power or seeds
1/8 part clove - powder
If herbs and leaves are not in powder form, grind them in a coffee grinder. Use this formula to make as much powder as you want.
Place the mixture into a small container. I usually use a small-unused vitamin bottle.
I usually mix a small amount and use a tablespoon as my measuring tool. For example, 2 tablespoons of white oak, 1 tablespoon of myrrh gum, ¾ tablespoon of peppermint leaves, and so on. The measurements do not have to be so precise.
How to use it:
To control bacteria in your mouth, use this power once a week. If you have gingivitis, you can use this 3 times a day. Place some powder on your toothbrush and brush your teeth and gums. After brushing spit out, a few time, the saliva and residue powder. Don’t rinse out your mouth since you want to keep the active herb powders in your month. You can swallow any that remains in your mouth with no problem.
This powder combination is bitter, but quite powerful and will get the job done. You can add more peppermint powder to make it less bitter, if you like.
For severe cases of gingivitis and toothaches, you can also moist some powder with distilled water and then place the paste all along the your teeth and gums — front and back. Leave the paste in your mouth as long as you can. Don’t worry about the herbs getting in between your teeth. This remedy works.
My wife was schedule for a root canal last year and a few weeks before her tooth started paining and couldn’t sleep. So I made this remedy. She just placed the powers around the painful area. It wasn’t long before the pain stopped and she was able to go to sleep.
There have been other clients that have used this remedy for a month and successfully avoided having the dentist apply gingivitis treatment. In cases of severe gingivitis, go see your dentist and at the same time use this remedy.

The Day I Died
Avalon De Witt The happiest day of my life was the day I died. I was three years old and living in Richmond, Indiana. It was a sunny day and my dad decided to take me fishing. We went to a nearby river and my dad chose a spot next to a small bridge where he cast his line and relaxed into a folding lawn chair on the riverbank.
I scurried off to explore. Under the bridge, just a few feet above the water, a large pipe ran across the river. I was born a curious child and that pipe looked enticing. I would make a game of crossing the water by straddling the pipe and scooting back and forth.
I was playing contentedly like this when suddenly, I slipped and fell in. The water engulfed me and I began gasping for air. I didn’t know how to swim. With each gasp, I sank deeper and deeper. As my lungs filled with water, my instincts kicked in. I knew what was happening to me, and I fought desperately to reach the surface of the water. Darkness closed in around me as the sunlight above me slipped further and further from my grasp. Soon, I was weak and going limp. I could see only darkness. There was nothing. No thoughts, no feelings. And it was eternal.
But only for a moment! Because suddenly, directly in front of me, in the midst of this darkness was a bright, sparkly sunbeam. A voice within me said, “BREATHE!” I knew this was it: my last breath, my last chance to escape the darkness. With all of my might, I inhaled as deeply as I could.
The inhale propelled me forward, into the sunbeam and I began rising to the surface. The inhale continued. I reached the surface and kept on rising.
Several yards above the water, I looked back down and saw my dad running over to the pipe. I could hear his thoughts like a mantra, “Get the baby, save the baby…”
“But, Daddy, I’m over here. Everything’s, okay,” I thought. Perfect, actually. Beautiful, so peaceful… Then, I realized that I could see in all directions at once. I was no longer contained and I could feel myself beginning to expand across the sky as I eased into this infinite breath that was now me! Beautiful music, like a million wind chimes enveloped me as I sailed toward a brilliant white light, surrounded by many shimmering, smaller ones. The Light beckoned me and the smaller lights reached out like arms, pulling me in for a great, warm hug. In an instant, I was one with my Creator and I was filled with the knowledge of all things. I was Love and all was perfect!
I looked down and saw my dad again. He was pulling my body out of the water. I was dead. But I was more alive than ever before, or since. My dad threw my body over his shoulder and started for the riverbank. It was a beautiful sight to me and I was filled with compassion.
I don’t know what made me go back; maybe it was that compassion. But for whatever reason, I was compelled. I floated closer, as my dad laid my body in the sand and started administering CPR. He was silent and focused. I was at peace and knew what to do. I came down and found a place on the sand to “sit” behind my head. I looked into my dad’s face as he pumped diligently at my chest.
Suddenly, water shot up like a geyser from my nose and mouth, and WHOOSH! I was sucked back into my body through the top of my head. I “awoke” in my body, gasping and choking, the force of the water burning through my nose and throat. The harsh contrast of being thrust from Heaven back into the pain and confinement of the body hurt more than the dying experience, itself. It was like getting tossed off the best carnival ride ever, and I wanted back on!
Years later, when I asked my father about this experience, thinking maybe it had been a dream, he recounted every detail as clearly I had seen it from above. The Love and bliss I experienced in that place of Light has been my driving force, ever since. And from that day forward, my life’s goal has been to bring a piece of that Light back to earth. That little spark from “the other side” remains with me to this day.

Secrets of Meditation For Better Health
Meditation can improve your health, increase energy levels and maximize your enjoyment of life. Without a doubt, more people would benefit from meditation if they took the time to practice the simple exercises used to calm the mind, reduce stress and increase energy levels.
So What Is Meditation?
Meditation is a way to transform and heal ourselves. When we meditate, we allow the swirl of ideas and thoughts to slow down to the point where we find a calm and positive connection with ourselves. Although there are many different ways to meditate, all styles teach the directing of the attention in order to re-connect with the part of yourself that is most real and most true.
Why We Need To Meditate
Unfortunately, we do not walk through the world as children do. We all face difficult and stressful situations throughout the course of life. But rather than beginning each day afresh, we tend to gather the world and carry the negativity of the past with us. The happy and contented person you were becomes covered over by these emotions. Suddenly you feel unhappy and dissatisfied, and even worse; often the process is so subtle, you don’t know why.
Meditation is a way of cutting through those layers of past emotion and excessive thinking. Instead of our minds and bodies being at the mercy of life, we take back control. We focus the attention in a deliberate way, and slowly see the false layers of ourselves begin to dissolve as we return once again to the source of our happiness.
Although meditation is an ancient art dating back thousands of years, modern scientific research now confirms what ancient wisdom discovered long ago. Study after study shows that meditation brings about improved perception, focus, memory and creativity. Regular meditators are healthier, happier, more relaxed, and more productive.
The True Purpose of Meditation
The seductive appeal of mystic visions, psychic intuition and heightened mental functioning can be very alluring. While some meditators report esoteric experiences, the experiences themselves should not be the primary reason for practice.
The purpose of meditation is to transform the state of our hearts and minds and bring us back to ourselves. As we become healthier, happier and realize greater self-awareness, more benefits begin to follow naturally — improved mental functioning, greater intuition as well as greater access to unconscious resources and abilities.
The Best Style of Meditation
Always keep an open mind in your learning. Never accept a teaching without verifying the truth of it in your own experience. On the other hand, reserve making judgment in advance of having the experience for yourself.
The best style of meditation is the one that feels right for you. There are many different systems of meditation including, but not limited to Concentration, Mindfulness, Zen, Visualization and Devotion. You may decide to experiment with a few different styles and see how they feel. Find one or two styles that you like and then major in those. Above all, pay attention to your self and make sure your meditation feels right for you.
Make Meditation A Daily Practice
You can be stronger in your self. You can be happier, more balanced and compassionate. You can manifest the changes you truly want to see in your life through meditation. You don’t need to give up all your worldly passions or retreat to a Himalayan monastery either!
A daily ten-minute practice can make all the difference. It’s not much time to dedicate when you consider all the time spent caring for your physical appearance. After all, you wouldn’t go out to an important meeting or social occasion without clean clothes and brushing your teeth.
What about the mind and body — the instruments through which we perceive and interact with reality? Does it not make sense to take the time to clean up our attitude and the way we feel as well?
