March 2009 Horoscope, Astrological Happenings

March comes in like a lamb… and this time of year drapes a fine gentle mist that just FEELS good. It softens our hearts, emotions tend to flow more freely, and we’re exchanging kindness and compassion to others, and to ourselves. The Sun and the Dark Moon entered dreamy Pisces last month, and those vibrations are still influencing us. It’s a beautiful time to make new friends, to explore new romance, and to deepen intimacy in our relationships. Creativity, tranquility, and fantasy are truly meant to be explored! Imagination is also at a major high, so use it with your artistic talents or technical skills to benefit your work and your personal playtime. Don’t forget to pay extra special attention to your dreams, especially during the first three weeks of this month! Our dreams and our subconscious really want to talk with us now, so keep a journal beside the bed, and take notes of all the details, to understand what is going on in our life.

Creative problem-solving is a must during this first week of March, as our patience will be tested on 03/02, as we sense struggles with creative blocks and confusion with communicating with others. The tension is high and it would be a day to lay low, and release high expectations. Similar energy on 03/04 will continue to have us feeling frustrated. We are reminded to simply recognize the ACTUAL problem, and to then try a new approach, basically because what we have been doing - has not worked. By becoming more flexible and open-minded - we can allow changes to produce better results!

Venus in heroic Aries encourages us to enjoy the moment and to take what we can get, but when she turns retrograde on 3/6, we may decide that we need to put our emotions and trust on hold, waiting for our generosity and kindness to be replenished. Detachment and self-exploration are likely. Suddenly we bump into someone from our past. Psychic experiences rise. It will feel like a personal necessity that we spoil ourselves, while finding quality time to retreat and nurture our soul. Yoga and meditation is highly beneficial. As Mercury enters shadowy Pisces on 3/8, not everything will be as it appears, and we find ourselves being swayed and manipulated into the comforts of relaxation, procrastination, the fantasy good life. While imagination is fun, it isn’t reality - and this is where misunderstandings and false promises can develop in our relationships or in our business ventures. Vision and communication is cloudy in this month’s murky waters, creating a variety of illusions. We may not be one hundred percent sure as to what we should believe at this point, so you may need to trust your intuition and gut feelings to get you through. We may doubt our loyal allies for imaginary friends. In matters of personal security and genuine trust - be sure to stay alert, ask factual questions that require practical answers, and keep up to date with our own personal responsibilities and written agreements.

Restless energy activates on 03/08 as Jupiter’s opposition could cause us to over-think ourselves, and we may feel rushed and jittery, which could have some of us going overboard on our shopping or eating habits. Saturn’s opposition occurs shortly after, forcing our shuffling energy to a screeching halt. Watch out for bullies and aggressive drivers. Tension tends to carry over to 03/09 as Neptune and Mars opposes the Moon, forcing us to toss and turn, and disturbing our sleep pattern. We grumpily climb out of bed, and Mercury’s opposition adds to the fuzziness of our tired minds. Make the best of the day, and find time to quietly clear the mind with meditation.

As Mars enters Pisces 3/14, our energy level slows down and mellows, and sensitivities are heightened. Some of us could feel under the weather. We may decide to withdraw, to avoid oncoming storms and confrontations. Take advantage of this quieter timing to rest and recharge batteries for next month’s busy activities. Sensuality and serenity will our lower stress and tension, while raising interest in sexuality and self-discovery. The rest of this month has calmer waters ahead as the Sun shifts into courageous Aries on the Spring Equinox 03/20. The clouds distance themselves, allowing the skies to clear out. We’ll be ready to venture into some new and unfamiliar territories, as our spirit heals, and the sparkle is back in our eyes. Mercury enters Aries on 03/25, and we’ll be more in tune and in control of our own lives, as our confidence leads the way.

February Horoscope

February is the month of Aquarius the Water Bear, so a ‘happy birthday wish’ to our Aquarian friends. As I mentioned in last month’s horoscope, I have my own personal beliefs as to much of the 11:11 hype, especially because 2009 is an 11 year ( 2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 11 ), where magic happens. Aquarius is associated with the 11th astrological house, which represents friendships, social organizations, humanitarians, as well as our ability to get along with others. The ruler of Aquarius is Uranus and connected to physics, astrology, inventions, intellect, rebellion, technology, and change. With all of that, it’s pretty interesting that television stations are turning off analog programming to go al digital this month. Talk about a change in technology. This advancement in broadcasting got a high-five from the ‘Tug-of-War’ that’s been going on between Traditional Saturn and Futuristic Uranus, and let’s not forget Pluto’s entrance into Capricorn back in November 2008 who’s main job is to destroy and transform. Even Sagittarian Britney Spears and her music career have survived the Pluto transformation, and a push in the right direction with her Aquarian Moon! The phoenix, and Sagittarians, have risen from the ashes! But again, 11 is ALL about the magic happening - which is why I have a personal faith in America being transformed, and rising from it’s own ashes. Even the birth number of our new president Barrack Obama, is an 11.

February starts the month with energy from a New Moon and powerful Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, to seek emotional freedom, and spiritual motivation - to find ourselves. And just when hope may be ready to dissolve into the cosmos - Mercury goes Direct on 02/01, allowing expectations and vision to become crystal clear to us. It’s mush easier with the retrograde gone, to communicate with others now. It’s also a good time, to resend our emails or faxes, and to initiate social connections again. Immediately after Mercury turns direct to open windows of opportunity, courageous Mars forwards his way into Aquarius, to stir up some action and movement into our life. Unfortunately with Venus sitting in Pisces, it could be quite unclear to others (or ourselves) as to what we REALLY want. It probably won’t matter much at this point as what we want, just as long as something happens to make us happy. If thoughts and actions aren’t compatible, intentions may become alarmingly misunderstood as a strong opposition comes between responsible Saturn and rebellious Uranus. Saturn is looking for stability and Uranus is a player, a clash is bound to happen that will rock someone’s world. If something or someone has been experiencing obstacles in work or in a relationship - expect a power struggle (or angry words) to rip the carpet right from under someone’s feet. Later in the evening, Venus and Pluto experience a harsh square to add to the damage, and someone may be in for a rude wake up call when things aren’t falling into place so easily anymore. Bubbles could be bursting, so it would be best to avoid any frivolous confrontations during the first two weeks of February.

On 02/08, a challenging quincunx between Sun and Saturn creates a continuance of cold shoulders and hurt feelings, basically because no one is willing to backdown. An calm ‘adult to adult’ conversation would be an advantage to both parties, including negotiating terms in either work or relationship areas. Without coming to a fair agreement, the powerful eclipse and full moon in LEO on the 9th, will have someone stomping their feet loud and clear to defend their passion. Handle this situation correctly, as the energy from this period will hang around for good few months before it decides to wear off. Later in the week, on Valentine’s Day 02/14, Mercury enters cold Uranus - which can be serious and merciless for businesses deciding to take big risks to achieve success. That coldness doesn’t care who it’s stomping on to reach its numbers. In areas of love, that very same coldness can appear heartless or spiteful. Best advice: Mind your own heart, and mind your own business. In regards to Valentine’s day, the more sensitive romantics should avoid having too high expectations, to escape any sort of disappointment. In other words, be happy and understanding with whatever you get (or don’t get). The more you ‘want’ on this day, the more spiteful the day can become as the moon enters into controlling Scorpio.

A Venus Jupiter sextile on 02/16, which is a wonderful day to make requests for what you want, or have earned - from business promotions, to emotional gifts from the heart. There is a strong sense of happiness and giving in the air. Mind your manners with words of gratitude like ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ to attract more positive energy from the day. The Sun enters Pisces on 02/18 , as arrogance and spite will roll off our backs and we become more relaxed and inviting to all around us. Rather than working against life, Venus sextile Mars which can blend magically, as it allows life to mysteriously move in the right direction for us. On 02/21, the Sun sextile Pluto, where again, communications and agreements are quite favorable. Expect smooth traveling, and your coffee to be at the perfect temperature.

The last week of the month, our energy continues to soften as a new moon mellows in cushy Pisces 02/24. We may decide to put trust in the Universe at this time, while some may want to put trust into other individuals, expecting dreams to be delivered, without working for it. And while dreams do come true, the only way to keep them alive - is by nurturing and taking care of them. Without effort, your vision will eventually disappear. It is important during this new moon and the next few weeks, to not be careless or delusional with your work or relationships - assuming all is well and dandy. Old-fashioned hard work will always be needed to keep things running smoothly, which helps to separate the illusion from reality. Mercury conjuncts Jupiter 02/24 and you could be feeling quite excited and accomplished for organizing your priorities!

Astrological Happenings Horoscope, January 2009

January 2009…. Happy New Year! In numerology, 2009 is represented as an 11 year, and this year is also related to the 11th astrological house of inspirations, humanitarians, social organizations, friends, and visions of the future. I personally relate much of the 11:11 hype to this particular year, and believe that we should be asking ourselves as to how will our maturation and goals for 2009 will assist our reputation in the world (or in our local community), and benefit another too? This is a beautiful year of spirituality and self-empowerment, and a time to release old worn-out attitudes and negative behaviors - to spread our wings - to become the ‘bigger and better’ person. We should be thinking more about re-connecting with others, and becoming one. In 2009, some of us could experience a drastic change in our personality, craving the desire to act on generosity, sharing kindness and compassion… as a way to gain inner peace and a belonging with the outside world again. It is a year of self-discovery and self-sacrifice, to simultaneously experience a death and a rebirth in our renewal of hope and faith. The time is now right, for each of us to rise ABOVE ourselves this year, and to be the change the we want to see in the world. This brand new year starts with new moon energy rising in responsible Capricorn, which brings us a satisfied feeling, as we have recently focused on providing for others during the past few weeks, and we can now create a more stable environment for ourselves. We may begin to feel a need for seclusion, keeping thoughts (and possibly ourselves) out of the limelight, to hibernate on professional goals and on personal development. We may require less time on emotions and relationships, simply to recharge our batteries with peace and quiet now. On 01/01, Mercury enters freedom fighter Aquarius for the next few weeks, to help us find a solution or different approach to conquer roadblocks in our lives. Any new direction will inspire creativity, which will aid in our attempt to jump oncoming hurdles in the future. We could be experimenting with exciting dimensions in work methods, realizing that a new attitude could benefit us during the storms. Others may possibly reach further, and develop a totally new relationship. Venus enters dreamy Pisces on 01/03 for the next few weeks, and we could get stuck (or possibly lazy) in just the idea of the dream, and put off the hard work of chasing the dream. We may feel more daring (or possibly careless) and just take brave steps into the unknown, helping us to cross paths with hidden opportunities, but also to enrich our self-confidence. This is an exciting month to dream, to believe in magic, while having a realistic attitude about our involved work. Write down a plan of action and the steps needed to reach the target. A luminous full moon in intuitive Cancer reveals special knowledge or signs that confirms our motivation and direction! On 01/11, chatty Mercury goes retrograde for a few weeks, and we may experience confusion with our course, or possibly doubting our objective. Fax machines and computers may go bonkers, messages and voice-mails may get delayed, possibly lost, and this whirlwind of scattered energy can also create misunderstandings. Double check all forms of communication, and be sure to prioritize thoughts, and take notes to stay on track. Confident Sun enters Aquarius on 01/19, empowering our ability to stretch ourselves beyond any limitations. We continue to make our advances in life, one day at a time, without allowing any outside influences to get in our way. Solitude, or distancing ourselves from others is very possible. These vibrations are truly focused on each of our paths as individuals. If relationships are sensitive or shaky, an emotional shutdown is likely. During this month’s Mercury retrograde, confusion gets a bit more tipsy as he lands in Capricorn on 01/21. A new moon rises on 01/26 in quirky Aquarius, while a powerful Solar Eclipse energizes our intentions for the next six months, so make thoughts GOOD thoughts, and activate these sparkling ideas into a plan of action!
